It is designed for use in second-generation continuously variable transmissions (CVTs) installed in Honda vehicles from September 2013 to the present, where the manufacturer recommends HONDA ULTRA CVTF HCF-2 and HONDA CVT FLUID-2 fluids. It fully meets the requirements of Honda continuously variable transmissions, including those equipped with a Honda wet start clutch. This distinguishes MITASU from many commercially available HMMF substitutes, which do not provide proper operation with these transmissions.
