What’s new: engine oils with new standards API and ILSAC26 september 2010
Mitasu Oil Corporation, Japan is happy to announce the development and launch of engine oil group of products with the most advanced ILSAC GF-5 / API SN standard. First countries to achieve the standard under this certification are Japan, USA, Canada, Singapore, Korea and Australia. MITASU OIL expert opinion: The American Petroleum Institute (API) and International Lubricant Standardization and Approval Committee (ILSAC) in conjunction with the leading Japanese and American vehicle manufactures will introduce the new standardisation SAE SN (API) and ILSAC GF-5 (ILSAC) over a period from the end of 2010 to the beginning of 2011. The main differences in the latest ILSAC GF-5 standard from the previous ILSAC GF-4 are: – significant improvement in fuel efficiency; – the extended term of engine cleanliness and uncompromising protection from varnish deposits and sludge (even as a base oil prior to reinforcement with powerful additives); – significant improvement in emission control (the latest modern engine emission control standard); – ability to use bio-fuel (when all types of fuel are used, bio-fuel inclusive, standard ILSAC GF-5 solves potential rust and engine wear problems better than any other standard); – oil of this category is suitable for use in any existing engines and is a current standard for future models.
